I’m Joanna (but people call me Jo). Pleased to meet you. I’m a project manager and Pyramidion’s internal planner which basically means I’m responsible for keeping everyone in line and making sure things are delivered on time. My day to day activities include project management, organising new client work and keeping all of our internal processes up-to-date. Occasionally, I crack the whip a bit in the office, but this keeps everyone focused.
I have experience as a social worker and I’ve also travelled around for business and pleasure. In the past, I was an international Goalball player (YouTube it), competing in the World Championships and Paralympics which I’m extremely proud of. In my spare time, I still follow the sport providing coverage for the international governing body, IBSA Goalball, as a media coordinator.
Learning languages is also a passion of mine, as I feel communicating in a person’s mother-tongue is important. Typically, I converse in English and Dutch although my French, German and Polish are a bit rusty. I’m determined, social and curious, great attributes for this job as things are constantly changing, I’m always talking to new people and at times, you need a thick-skin to deal with all sorts of situations.
